Shishir is an empaneled consultant of the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD). He has over 23 years of experience in Agribusiness Project Management, Banking & Microfinance, Livelihood Promotion, Agri-Value Chain Development, Business Development, and establishing sustainable community organizations. His experience encompasses working for BASIX, ICICI Bank, ITC, IDE, and other development organizations and has managed funds of Ford Foundation, ICCO, SRTT, etc.

He played an instrumental role in developing a BASIX Livelihood Triad Model of intervention in Mozambique for the Ford Foundation. He was the National Head, Internal Control Group, Rural Inclusive Business Group (Agri) at ICICI Bank, one of the leading private sector banks of India.

Shishir holds an MBA from IBAT, KIIT School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry) from Banaras Hindu University.
